Chick-Fil-A Gluten Free Review

Chick-Fil-A Gluten Free Review

When I first got my gluten allergy and thought my life was over I was sure that there wouldn’t be anything for me to eat outside of my house.. lucky for me I am just dramatic and there are tons of options, with more being added what seems like every day! We go to Chick-fil-A probably 1-3 times a month just because it is conveniently located to our house but I love the French fries and I have more than just one option when it comes to ordering food there! Here are the options that I have in my arsenal to share with you all!

There are a few different things that I like to get to eat when I am at Chick-fil-A depending on what mood I am in really. Usually, I will get a Cobb Salad with a warmed grilled chicken breast sliced up with garden herb ranch on top. Otherwise, if I am going to go home to eat I will get a Cobb Salad Base with no protein and the same dressing but I will make chicken nuggets at home in the air fryer and then cut them up and put them on top of the salad….SO GOOD. When I get a salad I always get a medium or large French fry depending on how hungry I am with Chick-fil-A sauce and salt.. yum! Another thing that I like to get is a grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten-free bun. I am a big texture person so this isn’t always my go-to, but it is really good. If you get their gluten-free bun you are going to want to make sure that you have a sauce because the bun is a bit dry but sauce does help! Lastly, I know there is always the option to get grilled nuggets but I would rather put a fork into my eye than eat the grilled nuggets.. In my opinion, they are nasty and not worth anyone money haha

BurgerFi Gluten Free Review

Delicious Gluten-Free Review of BurgerFi

Attention all gluten-free foodies! I can’t even believe how many times I have looked at this restaurant on my way home from somewhere and never thought to stop in nor was I aware of how many options they had available by carrying gluten-free buns! I know that they have burger in their name but they also have chicken sandwich options as well! In a world where gluten-free options can be limited, I was so very pleasantly surprised by BurgerFi! I always love adding new restaurants to my overall options list as someone who has to eat gluten-free. They have over 100 locations so if you don’t live near Orlando you probably have one near you! I sincerely hope that my reviews help you guys and you can say goodbye to the hassle of finding gluten-free friendly restaurants that are near you or on your vacations!

There are a ton of options for burger types to choose from, like anything from a prime rib burger to a double premium wagyu burger with candied bacon jam, truffle aioli, and Swiss cheese. They also have a BBQ rodeo burger that has charred jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, crispy haystack onions (not gluten-free), and BBQ sauce. These are just a few and now that I am looking at that menu again while I am writing this I wish I would have picked one of those delicious options! I opted for the ultimate bacon cheese burger with a single patty rather than a double and it was so so good! I also got fries that were topped with Parmesan, Garlic Aioli, and fresh-cut herbs, and OH MY GOSH, they were good! We will definitely be eating here again!

One thing that feels almost impossible sometimes when it comes to gluten-free food is finding a burger bun that doesn’t crumble apart before you get to eat your food and I was so excited to find out that these buns are actually really good! As I mentioned before, there are over 100 BurgerFi locations so if you don’t live in the Orlando area there is probably one near you to enjoy! Urban on Plant Gluten Free Review

Urban on Plant Gluten-Free Review

A complete Gluten Free review for Urban On Plant in Winter Garden

We have been to downtown Winter Garden a couple of different times since living here in Central Florida but we had never been on a Saturday and never been to this restaurant! We were walking around the farmers market downtown and through the little shops that they have and we decided to stop into Urban on Plant for lunch! We were so pleasantly surprised at how good it was, we were so happy that we found this place! Without further ado, here is a review of what we thought about Urban On Plant – a fast-casual restaurant that had a ton of gluten-free options!

I grabbed a picture of the gluten-free menu and it was actually pretty long! But because there were so many good things on the gluten-free menu we decided to just split a few things with the intention of taking home leftover flatbread for later! For drinks, I got the High Tea which was vodka, st. Germain, rose water, and prosecco which was very good and we got the Fire Roasted Artichoke and Spinach Dip- also very good! For the mains, we split the Smokey Hawaiian and the Buffalo Chicken flatbreads, and both we so so good! I am not usually a pineapple on-my-pizza type of person but the pineapple on the flatbread was a pineapple salsa and it just worked really well. Even the leftovers we took home were eaten later that day, we will absolutely go back to eat here again!

If you are gluten free you know how difficult it is to find good pizza let alone a flatbread, I was so happy with this find and we will absolutely be going back! Mito Sushi Gluten Free Review

Mito Sushi Gluten Free Review

I feel like each time we have moved to a new state I have been worried about the food situation and that only intensified when I had to start eating gluten free. When Dustin and I moved to Orlando I was really sad about the sushi and Thai situation. I thought I wasn’t going to find any options for myself. Well luckily the gluten free sushi solution is literally right next to our neighborhood and it is very good! I was so happy to find Mito Sushi and the staff are very knowledgable and help me make as many substitutions as I need to have a great meal. I am so thankful for that because a lot of times restaurants reallllllly don’t care whether or not you have very many options to choose from.

We have been eating at Mito for over two years now, it is one of the first places that we ordered from when we got here. I put a few photos of the menus below so you guys could check it out for yourself. But I should mention that the chefs and the wait staff will help you! There have even been times where they will call us when we order online and they will confirm the choices we made where we indicated that we wanted them to be gluten free. They will help you make certain rolls gluten free as well which is helpful!

My go-to order when we are getting lunch or dinner from here is a Kani Salad as my appetizer which can be made gluten free with out the crunches on top, so so good! Then for my main food, I will usually get 1-2 spicy California rolls depending on how hungry I am. Then usually Dustin will order a spicy crab roll as gluten free and I will have a couple of those as well. But also in the past I have gotten the chicken fried rice and that is absolutely delicious. I have also ordered the Rainbow roll before and I really like that as well!

City Works Gluten Free Review

City Works Gluten Free Review

When Taylor and I did a staycation a few weeks ago we went to dinner in Disney Springs the night before all of the park days began and we chose to go to City Works! It wasn’t the first time we had gone there but its always good and never really disappoints. Especially with its ever-changing menu and its basically unlimited amount of good drinks. We love the cider flights and they have a lot of good wine as well! City Works is over by the movie theater and Splitsville. I wish I had taken pictures when I have gone in the past but I will add more of them to this blog post when we go in the future!

Below are some pictures from the menu that is on Disney’s actually website! Nothing on this website is actually marked but the waiters and waitresses are very knowledge and will always double check for you with the chef before putting in your order. You can also ask to speak to the chef if you are more comfortable with that. I added pretty much the whole menu and the ciders/seltzers list so you guy can see all of the options! Their menu also changes pretty frequently so don’t be surprised if something is added or taken away from these photos below. For example, I went in March and then again in May and the menu was different!

Two of the three times that I have been here I have gotten a cider flight and have never been upset with any of the ones that I got. This time I got the Brut Dry Cider, the Ace Pineapple Cider, the Black Cherry Cider and lastly I got he Passionfruit cider which I think was new because I couldn’t find it on the menu! But all four of them were good and I would get them again! The second time I went there I got a bolognese and I was really looking forward to getting it last time but they had switched the menu up and I ended up getting the Rigatoni which was Italian Sausage, tomatoes, peas, goat cheese and like a tomato cream sauce which was really just as good as the other pasta dish I have had! Next time I go I want to see if there are any appetizers that I can try. If you have been and have gotten a gluten free app, let me know in the comments so I can try it!

Have you ever eaten at City Works? I know I asked this above but if you have eaten a gluten free meal here I would love to know what you got so I can add it to my list of things to try! I will link a few other spots that we eat at in Disney Springs just in case you are planning a trip and need some ideas! First I will link my Boathouse Gluten Free Review, and then my Raglan Road Gluten Free Review! Let me know if you have eaten at any of these spots and what you got! The Mara Gluten Free Review

The other night my cousin and our friend were trying to decide where we should go out to dinner and I remembered that The Animal Kingdom Lodge was actually pretty close to where we all live so we decided to go grab quick service from the Mara and I am so glad that we did! If you get there before it gets too dark there are animals that you can go look at all of the animals and it is just like the Kilimanjaro Safari. It is so cool! They also have like a fire pit you can sit by and I have also heard great things about the drinks at the Animal Kingdom Lodge so we will definitely be going back to check that out soon!

Below are some pictures from the menu that is on Disney’s actually website! There were tons of options! That Braai Chicken Flatbread was a close second on my “to order” list, I am going to have to go back and get it!

I ended up going with the Tamarind Barbecued Pork Sandwich and it was so so good! I feel like it is very hit or miss when you are at Disney if they are going to put the barbecue sauce on your gluten free sandwich but they did on this one and it was so good! I got a side of fries which never really disappoint me at Disney. Then for dessert I got the infamous Zebra Domes.. They honestly weren't my favorite but I think its because of texture because both Taylor and Maiya liked them! They were like a chocolate covered mousse and the flavor was good I just couldn’t do the all one texture from the mousse! So I just had one but that was fine by me!

Green Papaya Thai & Sushi Gluten Free Review

Green Papaya Thai & Sushi Gluten Free Review

I think the most trusting thing with having to eat gluten free is my love of sushi and Thai food and how often they put something in a dish that absolutely doesn't need to be in there and then I can’t have it. I do think that places have gotten a lot better about it though. 9/10 they have gluten free soy sauce and don’t add anything to their rice as a binding agent that we can’t have which is so nice! When Dustin and I were in St. Augustine we got on the Find Me Gluten Free app to find Thai food, specifically pad Thai!

www.tarynintotravel.com | Green Papaya Gluten Free Review | Gluten Free Sushi and Thai | St. Augustine Food Review

We found Green Papaya Thai and Sushi which was a bit away from the center of downtown but only like a 5ish minute drive from our Airbnb. We got in the car headed there and I had the best otoro sushi/nigiri I have ever had {which is saying something because we look for it everywhere we go}!

I started with the spicy California roll! They brought me out gluten free soy sauce to dip my sushi in and I was really happy with the roll! Dustin got some “sushi” but other places I have been they call it nigiri. He liked them all!

After we ordered we both realized that they had otoro as a special on one of their signs by the sushi bar and we each got a piece of that! If you haven’t tried it is a melt in your mouth piece of fish that we look for everywhere we go! It is the “most desirable part of the tunas belly”. So freaking good, you guys have to try it!

Then as our main entree we both got chicken pad Thai and it was a 10/10. I got a spice level 2 and I think I could have done a 3! It had a sweet element to it that I don’t always love in pad Thai but whatever they were using spice wise to balance out the sweet was perfect! Dustin likes really spicy food and he got a 5 which he was happy with!

We went out looking for really good pad Thai and we seriously found it. If you are local to St. Augustine I 100% recommend you go there. If you are visiting, it is worth the quick drive away from the downtown area to try it! Especially if you like raw fish, it was so so good! The Floridian Gluten Free Review

The Floridian Gluten Free Review

Today I have another surprisingly yummy spot from St. Augustine to share with you all! The Floridian is where we ate the first night we were there and it was so good! I found this spot on the Find Me Gluten Free app. I usually plan ahead a bit with where we are going to eat when we are traveling but for some reason I didn’t with this trip and once we got there I was a bit nervous because I am such a big planner {especially with food and my allergy} but I was pleasantly surprised with all of the options on Find Me Gluten Free.

There were TONS of options for us to choose from! This was the first one I picked and I am so glad because I hadn’t had a gluten free homemade biscuit not from a box in YEARS. I will share more about it below!

To start we got the Biscuit and Belly which was a gluten free buttermilk biscuit with braised pork belly, hot sauce honey, Lil Moo cheese, fancy mustard, and Bourbon-Apple Butter. It was seriously so good, I am not even a huge pork belly person usually but this was GOOD! All of the sauces that were on the plate mixed together so well and the hot sauce honey really put the dish over the top! I was so impressed with the biscuits and how crispy the pork belly was. I loved it and it was a perfect sized appetizer for two people to share!

Then for my main dish, the waitress didn’t want me to get sick from the fryer so I decided to get the Fried Chicken Sandwich but I got the chicken grilled with all the same toppings. It was so yummy! It was called the South-East Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was a citrus-herb marinated chicken breast, rice-flour dusted, fried and stacked on ciabatta with lemon aioli and marinated collard-cabbage slaw, plus a drizzle of hot-sauce honey. The only thing I would change would for the mayo sauce to not be citrus, that was a funky taste to get through but it was obviously not too horrible because I ate the ENTIRE thing. This might look messy but the slaw on the sandwich was really actually good and I am not a huge fan of slaw usually! Dustin got the fried chicken sandwich as well but his was fried and he loved it! I should also mention that the potatoes were covered in rosemary and absolutely delish!

Kookaburra Coffee Gluten Free Review

Kookaburra Coffee Gluten Free Review

Hello and happy Tuesday! We just got back from a weekend in St. Augustine and I have quite a few places to share with you guys over the next few weeks, there are so many places! But I wanted to start with the coffee shop that I literally fell in love with and we have every morning that we were there. Its called Kookaburra Coffee and it was so so good! They had three locations and we tried two of them and both were equally good. I will tell you more about the actual food in a sec but the inside of both locations was so cute and the employees were so friendly and inviting! It would be a perfect place to go work for the day if you lived in St. Augustine or if you had to work on your getaway!

First of all, that coffee that is pictured at the top of this blog post MAY have been the best coffee I have literally ever had. It’s called the Honey Badger and its a latte with honey, cinnamon and vanilla and its literally life changing. I got it every single morning we were there and I need to replicate it at home because it should be a daily thing in my life, honestly. The donut to the right is called a pumpkin donut and it was vegan and gluten free. It was really tasty, the nuts in it were really good. I didn’t even know about the peanut butter chocolate chip muffin that they had to offer until I started writing this blog post but that sounds delish and I wish I would have tried it while I was there! I guess we just have to go back to St. Augustine!

I will add a couple more screenshots below of things on their menu from online that we can have, and also their locations, there are 3 of them!

We went to the The Kookaburra 312 and also The Kookaburra Beachside and both were equally cute and delicious! We didn’t go to the downtown one because the other were an easier drive not having to cross the big bridge to downtown.

Have you grabbed coffee from this shop before? I would absolutely recommend it if you are ever in St. Augustine! I literally dream about that coffee, it was so so good! The honey and the cinnamon are different but seriously so good. I always like to leave by saying if you have any questions, feel free to email me at tarynintotravel@gmail.com! Gluten Free Review: My Animal Kingdom Favorites

Gluten Free Review: My Animal Kingdom Favorites

This is going to be a little different than my normal reviews but its going to be a bit quicker and a little more all over the place. I always write my reviews about one specific restaurant and I will go back to the at next week but I wanted to share some of my favorites because they are all spread throughout the park and I think they are worth mentioning!

www.tarynintotravel.com | Gluten Free Review: Animal Kingdom Favorites | Gluten Free at Disney | Disney World Gluten Free

  1. Buffalo Chicken Nachos from Trilobites near the entrance to Dinoland! Oh my gosh I basically get these every single time I am at Animal Kingdom now! They are potato chips with buffalo chicken on top and then they put sour cream, diced tomatoes and celery on top and it is SO GOOD. I was thrilled when I found this snack and now I just want to share it with everyone else!

  2. Chicken Strips and French fries from Restaurantosaurus, its so simple but wherever they get these particular nuggets from is 10/10 chefs kiss! There is really nothing special about them other than the fact that they are my favorite of all the brands that Disney will buy their gluten free chicken strips from! They are so good and I dip mine in ranch!

www.tarynintotravel.com | Gluten Free Review: Animal Kingdom Favorites | Gluten Free at Disney | Disney World Gluten Free

4. Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich from Flat Tree Barbecue which is located in Discovery Island! I love this sandwich so much! The one downside is that it comes without bbq sauce but you can add the bbq sauce from the condiments bar and it tastes just as good! Aldo the coleslaw is a must to add on top! I get fries with it and I am one happy gluten free camper!

3. Simba Sunset from Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa! It is a  DOLE Whip® Pineapple with Strawberry syrup and I am not a huge dole whip fan but this one is really good! I like it with the strawberry rather than just the straight pineapple! It seems to cut the tartness a bit more!

www.tarynintotravel.com | Gluten Free Review: Animal Kingdom Favorites | Gluten Free at Disney | Disney World Gluten Free

5. Rum Blossom from Pongu Pongu in Pandora! This is a bacardi superior rum with layers of apple and desert pear limeade topped with passion fruit boba balls and it is the perfect treat after riding Flight of Passage! It is right outside of the FOP gift shop and you don’t want to miss it! If alcohol isn’t your thing you can get it without the rum & I recommend you do get it either way! The boba is not pictured in that photo because I stirred it up before I even thought to take the picture. But the boba is yellow!

What is your favorite food place at Animal Kingdom? Have you tried any of these from my favorites list yet? I like Restaurantosaurus, obviously, and I also really like Flame Tree BBQ! I need to a whole gluten free review for that place soon. I always like to leave by saying if you have any questions, feel free to email me at tarynintotravel@gmail.com! Hot Krust Panini Kitchen Gluten Free Review

Hot Krust Panini Kitchen Gluten Free Review

We went to Hot Krust Panini Kitchen about 4 months ago and I cannot believe that I didn’t write this review as soon as we had it because DANG it is so good and I dream about those paninis!

I know that I have mentioned this before but I LOVE a good sandwich and I didn’t know this prior to eating here but apparently, I LOVE a good panini! I was so impressed with how many options they had for me to eat and not only that but they also had a ton of vegan options which was cool! I am not vegan but still! But even the French fries and the sweet potato fries were safe for me to have with no cross contamination which seems hard to find these days! Anyways, I will stop rambling… here is my review!

I also got a side of French fries which were completely gluten free and so yummy. When we were sitting at our table I already had planned the next meal that I was going to get which was the Buffalo Bill Chicken panini that had chicken breast, buffalo sauce, red onions, jalapeños, lettuce, provolone cheese and blue cheese crumbles and then I was going to get the sweet potato fries as my side. But I will just have to go back and get that next time! It was such good food and the staff were also really nice!

Restaurantosaurus Gluten Free Review

Restaurantosaurus Gluten Free Review

I havent done many gluten free reviews of restaurants that are inside of parks but I think that its important to do those because if you are visiting Disney you are probably curious where you can eat inside and outside of each of the parks! I have loved going to Restaurantosaurus for as long as I have had a gluten allergy! I think these nuggets are hands down the best that I’ve ever had and I crave them when I go to Animal Kingdom! I will stop talking about the chicken nuggets for now but 10/10 they are DELISH!

They menu items are honestly really basic but every once in a while I just want some really good chicken strips with some great crunch and that is what I get from here! I have also had the 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger and that is really good as well. The bun isn’t gross which is very important! One thing I will mention with this place is that the kids portions are almost as big as the adult portions and are very easy to mobile order. When I get a kids meal I just pick French fries for all three of my sides and then get a water bottle that I can fill up for the rest of my day that I am at the park!

Cape May Gluten Free Review

Cape May Gluten Free Review

When my mom was here this past weekend we decided to go to the Beach Club Resort and go out to brunch at Cape May and it was GOOD. I wasn’t sure how eating gluten free at a resort buffet was going to go for me but honestly it was just fine and I didn’t have any problems at all with my allergy which I was so thankful for!

Before we get into the food I feel like I should just take a moment to mention how beautiful the property is. It is right next to Epcot and the boardwalk so you have such easy access to those fun things! You can just take a little boat ride across the lake to go to Jellyrolls or Trattoria al Forno which I have heard great things about! But there is also a “beach” that you can lay in chairs on the sand in and it looked absolutely beautiful and fun to hang out at for the day.

Breakfast was delicious! There were so many options that I didn’t even try because I was full from what I did get! To start the waiter just automatically out in an order of Mickey waffles for me which was so nice! Then I went over to the buffet with my little pamphlet thing to see what I could grab! I got some yummy breakfast potatoes, the sausage and some bacon. Then, on the other side of the buffet there was this DELICIOUS eggs Benedict situation. It was like a hash brown cake under the poached egg and then I was able to put hollandaise sauce on top to finish it off. I figured I should have some fruit so I grabbed some perfect grapes and pineapple! They were both so fresh and I was so impressed!

Firehouse Subs Gluten Free Review

Firehouse Subs Gluten Free Review

I haven’t done a gluten free review in so long and it has been even longer since I did a gluten free review that wasn’t on Disney property! I am going to try harder to mix it up between Disney gluten free reviews and non-Disney gluten free reviews!

I LOVE a good sandwich and before I had my allergy I would go to a sandwich place like once a week. Which Wich, Subway, Potbelly.. you name it! If there was a sandwich being served I would be there! After I found out I couldn’t have gluten anymore I was SOOO upset. But places have really stepped up their gluten free game and I am so happy with it! You can read my Jersey Mikes Gluten Free Review here, its another one of my favorite sandwiches to have! Anyways, here are my thoughts on Firehouse Gluten Free Subs!

So I have really only ever gotten one type of sandwich and that is the Turkey Bacon Ranch and I don’t know that I will ever switch it up honestly! I love it so so much and it is so good warmed up! I just get it on a gluten free bun and take the tomatoes off because ew! Lol I still don’t like tomatoes and I’m not sure that I will at this point in my life. But I also just found out that the Broccoli cheese soup is gluten free which I did NOT know! I will absolutely be trying that next time I am there and will update this blog post when I do just to make sure I don’t get sick or anything! But look at that sandwich masterpiece down below! I mean its just SO good!

Roaring Fork Gluten Free Review

Roaring Fork Gluten Free Review

This was such a fun review to do because I went and tried this restaurant out with my family while they were visiting and we all had wanted to see this resort in person for so long!

I have mentioned this before in my reviews of restaurants on Disney properties but if this is your first gluten free review, welcome! BUT, if you live in Orlando and just feel like eating lunch or dinner at one of the many Disney properties, you can just place a mobile order and then drive to the resort, park for free and go in and enjoy your meal! All you will need to do is show the security guard at the resort gate your reservation and your drivers license and you are set to go in! The only properties that you aren’t allowed {as of right now} to go into are The Polynesian, The Contemporary and The Grand Floridian! Other than that I haven’t had any problems trying to get in.

When I went I ordered two things, honestly it was probably because my eyes were bigger than my stomach but we can just pretend that I ordered two meals for “research purposes”. Haha, anyways, the first thing that I ate was the chicken and waffles. I have had better chicken and waffles before but each of the elements separately were really good! The chicken strips are the same that they serve at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom! The waffles are also the same everywhere else. I would suggest getting the 10hr pulled pork sandwich from the lunch menu! {See below for the breakfast and lunch menus!} The sandwich was delicious and I would 10/10 order it again! Which one looks better to you guys?!

Have you stayed at The Wilderness Lodge before?! Its pretty much in my top three that I would love to stay at! If you have, did you ear here when you did? I was debating between a few different things and I would love to know what you ordered and if it was good so I can add it to my “to eat next” list! Olivia's Cafe Gluten Free Review

Olivia’s Cafe Gluten Free Review

I think of of the best days ever was when it dawned on me that I could just go eat at the Disney resorts because I felt like it! I don’t know if it was a thing before covid but as long as you have a mobile order placed for a restaurant within the resort, you can just go in and also get free parking which is a big plus. Just show the attendant at the gate your mobile order and your drivers license and you are in!

We went to Olivia’s Cafe To-Go and had a really yummy lunch! I had a Conch Flats Club Sandwich with French fries and then Olivia’s House Salad and was very happy with it! I believe they couldn’t toast my bread due to cross contamination but I didn’t feel like I was missing out without toasted bread. For dessert I got the Tropical Chocolate Tart and I didn’t even know that I liked Tarts until then… but I DO! Yum, it was good!

The Hampton Social Gluten Free Review

This was such a yummy place to eat and the vibe of the restaurant was just the cutest! I mean look at these pictures?! I love that flower wall with the neon signs so much. It was pretty much cute everywhere we looked inside this restaurant. I made a reel while we were there and you can go check that out on Instagram!

I found The Hampton Social one day when I was scrolling through reservations on Open Table. Sometimes I will look on Open Table to find new restaurants that I haven’t heard about before. I like it because they have photos of the restaurant, menus, reviews and then you can also just make the reservation within the app at the same time. It will let you invite the people you are going with to the reservation as well which is nice. Another great thing is that you can cancel or reschedule your reservation easily without calling the restaurant which is great for an introvert like me lol. I defiantly recommend using Open Table for reservations!

The Hampton Social is kind of by Universal in Orlando but as I am writing this I am finding out that they have 8 locations in different parts of the United States! We went for dinner and I grabbed a drink as well! I got the Hampton Frośe which was a delicious peachy frozen rose!

For food, I ordered two things because I like to try new foods. Lol The waitress thought I was ordering for Dustin and I but it was all just for me. But I ordered the Avocado Corn Pizza which I was really skeptical of but the corn and avocado WORKED on top of that pizza!

The other thing that I ordered was the Shrimp Tacos which were on a bed of citrus marinated slaw and topped with SPICY aioli and jalapeños. They were really spicy but very good. Also lets be honest, I thought they were spicy and Dustin didn’t flinch. Lol

Overall the food was really good and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about my gluten allergy. She had one thing that she didn’t know about and just went back to the kitchen to triple check for me. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back and try out some more food choices in the future!

Can we all take a moment and enjoy that view of the skyline?! It was so cool to eat breakfast with that view! So amazing!

www.tarynintotravel.com | Disney Resort Gluten Free | Caribbean Beach Resort | Gluten Free at Disney | Centertown Market Review | Gluten Free Review

Pretty much a week ago it dawned on me that we could go try different foods and restaurants that were in the Disney resorts here! I think that is the coolest thing. For those of you that don’t know, we moved here last year to be able to be close to the parks and enjoy Disney the way we want to! This is just an added perk in my opinion! Dustin, Taylor and I decided to go to the Caribbean Beach Resort the other day to grab some breakfast at Centertown Market and I was impressed! To get into the resort all we had to do was show the cast members at the gate the mobile order confirmation and my drivers license. After that they let us drive in and parking was free!

Centertown Market is a quick service restaurant but had a couple of yummy options that I hadn’t seen before at Disney. I had the normal breakfast platter that had eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and gluten free waffles that are so yummy! But the other thing that I ordered was the gluten free avocado toast and it was equally delicious! Side note: I was TOTALLY skeptical about the oranges being on the avocado toast but it actually worked together! They also had options like a bagel breakfast sandwich, an omelet or just Mickey waffles! But I put a screenshot of theme below so you can check it out. I did grab an iced caramel latte for breakfast, too… it was a little sweet. I should have asked for less syrup in the coffee. Like always, the staff is so knowledgeable about allergies and will make sure that you won’t be glutened!

Have you eaten at the Centertown Market yet?! Or better yet, stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort?? I would love to know what you ordered and if it was good so I can add it to my “to eat next” list! Raglan Road Gluten Free Review

Raglan Road Gluten Free Review

IMG_3705.jpeg

I couldn’t wait to add another restaurant from DIsney Springs to this gluten-free list of restaurants! Disney Springs and especially Raglan Road are special to us because its actually where we got married! We got married in the Characters in Flight balloon and then we had our wedding reception brunch at Raglan Road!!

When we moved to Orlando, Raglan Road was the first restaurant we went to in months from being in quarantine in Boston. But as a side note, Disney Springs is dealing with Covid so well! Raglan Road is such an amazing place to eat if you have a gluten allergy. I mean its amazing if you don’t have one as well lol but you get what I mean. Anyways! Like 90% of their food can be made gluten free. The staff is so knowledgeable about allergies and will make sure that you are treated well.

Going into this next part I want to preface with the fact that they change their menu! So if you are visiting and they don’t have what I am mentioning... that is why! We go fairly often so I will update the post with new menu items as I find them. One of my favorite things that I have eaten there was the Boar Burger with French Fries but I also have liked the gluten free fish and chips. I have also had a few things off of their brunch menu which is very tasty! I liked both the Pork Hash Tagged and the OMG Burger! You really can’t go wrong.

Have you been to Raglan Road to eat in Disney Springs yet?! I would love to know what you ordered and if it was good so I can add it to my “to eat next” list! As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me at tarynintotravel@gmail.com! You can also comment below and I will get back to you!

Boathouse Gluten Free Review

Boathouse Gluten Free Review

I don’t even know where to begin with this restaurant because it is THAT good! I honestly want to go here every chance we get but have to refrain so we can try new places around Orlando! I have been here like four times and it is always amazing and the staff is so knowledgeable! They are helpful and almost the WHOLE menu can be made gluten-free! I think this is probably because they are somewhat affiliated with Disney {bieng in Disney Springs and all} but I definitely appreciate it! They aren’t a Disney company but they do a good job!

I will link the menu here for you guys to look at. I will say that one downside is that they don’t have a specified gluten-free allergy menu but all times that I have visited I have had the chef come out and talk to me specifically about my allergy and they have helped me make my decision on what to order! So don’t be intimidated by there not being a dedicated menu!

I have ordered a few different things from here but the one thing that I order EVERY SINGLE TIME is the lobster Bisque. It is freaking amazing and you will literally want to drink a whole vat of it. It’s creamy and delicious and gluten-free! I was so shocked to hear that but it is! The first time we were there we were talking to the chef and he was telling us about the process to make the bisque and that it was thickened with rice! Who knew?! Dustin and I actually tried to make a copycat recipe at home and it wasn’t perfect but we will try again for sure!

They do offer a “gluten-free” roll which is really just like a burger bun that is warmed up? Idk, I’m not picky so I just ate the carbs with a smile on my face! Haha. Other than that I have had the Filet Mignon Sliders and they were really good. I will say that I wish it had a sauce but it was tasty on its own and then I had a side of baby potatoes. Another time I went I had the Grilled Mahi Tacos which were also delicious and then lastly I have tried the Mahi Mahi sandwich on a gluten-free roll and omg YUMMMM.
